Description of Disabilities: Athetoid Cerebral Palsy. Uses a power wheelchair and an augmentative communication device. In regular school, taking college prep classes.
Type of Services Needed: Needs assistance with feeding, toileting and transfers. Looking for someone to accompany him on outings into the community so he doesn’t have to hang with mom so much.
Miscellaneous: Zach’s biggest pet peeve is when people talk to him like he’s a young child. He is extremely intelligent and he just wants people to treat him like everyone else.
Hours Needed: Occasional evenings and weekends
Days Needed: Flexible

Hi Ms. Bryant,
My name is Kelly. I’m 28 y/o, and I am an occupational therapy student. I have experience with CP and can definitely understand your son’s concerns about being a capable intelligent adult. I currently reside in a group home that my husband manages. The gentlemen we live with are intellectually disabled and they experience these predjudices all the time. I am compassionate and put my whole heart into and for those I am helping.
I am looking for as needed, part time work. I have reliable transportation and I believe the qualities you are look for for Zach.
